Long ago, about five hundred generations back, the first twins of the Flame family were born. One of the two a girl, and the other a boy.
The male twin was physically strong and fast, born with control over fire and lightning, and also very skilled with blade type weapons. Not only did he have these abilities, but he was also fifty percent primate, like most Flame members, allowing him to transform back and forth between his primate form and human form, he could even transform halfway instead of full.
His sister lacked his strength, but was just as fast, even with his lightning abilities active. Like her brother, she was also born with control over an element, water. What she couldn't do with her strength, she made up for with magic. Unlike her brother, she excelled with magic, which in turn helped make up for her lack of physical strength.(Buffs) Like the majority of the other Flame members, she was also fifty percent animal, only instead of a primate, she was fifty percent feline, the first feline in the entire family.
When it came time to marry, her twin brother had no problem, since oddly enough, the fact that he was part primate did not affect any woman's affection toward him, but his sister had -the word tr*ouble has been censored by the king <3-. The reason being her powerfull skills in magic, making men afraid of her, as one wrong move could result in their death. Finally, one man asked to marry her, oblivious to any pain she could cause in the future. The man's last name was Kel. He was a great swordsman, and in return for the first feline's hand, he vowed to assist in the protection of the Flame family for all eternity. After that, the man lived up to his promise, and his son and daughter were the first blood related relatives to assist in the protection of the flames. This was proven easy with Mr. Kel's nique ability. He could create an almost clear barrier out of nothing and it was also indestructable. He would only use this technique 3 times a day.
The traits of the two twins were past down within their families, all Kel's learning magic, training their skills with the water element, sword training, and every so often a kel born with the ultimate barrier technique would be taught how to use it and warned on its limits, and the Flame's with their respective skills. As for the animals, the Kel's remained felines, never giving birth to a child that was part primate, or partially both.
Every so often, out of pure luck, a Kel child would look like a twin to a Flame child, and vice versa. With even more luck, a Kel girl and Flame boy would resemble the first twins in the Flame family. Even to this generation, the protection plan established by the father of the Kel's is still in affect.
